Flame was born on January 12, 2006. I first met Flame when he was 3 days old and fell in love with him at that very moment. And he couldn't of had better timing. At the time Flame was born, Kiyu, my Siberian Husky had just been diagnosed with epilepsy and I was told that I might have to retire him from agility. So I got Flame so that I could still compete in agility, or at least that's what I told my mom at the time. Flame has always been an exceptional canine. At 8 wks old he always came when he was called and knew how to sit as well, and by 8 months he was almost completly trained in basic obedience.
Flame may be a well trained dog but he is also the bestest best friend I could ask for. But to truely know Flame you also have to know Kiyu's Story. Flame is definatly not your typical Border Collie. He's more mellow and easy going...unless you have a frisbee or ball in your hand than all bets are off! But all things do change. After Kiyu's death Flame didn't eat for a week. At that point I took his bowl, grabbed him and locked us in my room and begged him to eat. And for the next week I hand fed him, then step by step I could finally leave the room...
After that I started noticing Flame change little by little. A little more ornery and a little less submissive to other dogs. Not too bad though.
And now, for the most part, you are all up to date on Flame! Although you really have to meet him to understand his awesomeness!
